Our mission is to directly influence the lives of teens and young adults by teaching essential life skills and useful social skills through mentorship. We recognize the great potential of our youth and our community. We vow to help create programming dedicated to building healthy lifestyles, healthy self-esteem and thriving communities.
Our Story
On April 29, 2013 founder, Ra'Sheia Nicole Parker developed Girls Destined For Greater Mentoring group. The mission was to guide teenaged girls, age 12-17 through mentorship while focusing on goal building, leadership, self-esteem, and dreams.
As the program began to flourish, it became more apparent that not only were teen girls in need but their families were in need as well. With home life and family structure being a major factor to the success of our teen girls, Parker decided to address the deeper issue. The Happy Confident Future Foundation was born.
The HCFF currently serves in the city of Detroit with a focus on the North and Northwest areas. The HCFF serves the community with our programs, Girls Destined For Greater Mentoring Group and Success:YES!, we offer mentoring for children and adults. We've serviced numerous Detroit families and organizations and we are looking to make an even greater impact for years to come.
Our Approach
Mentoring is our Superpower! The Happy Confident Future Foundation is a 501.c.3 non profit organization that was built on pure love and passion for helping people. Our mentoring programs, workshops and events are all designed to give our participants the tools they need to become successful. Effective program design and passionate people is what makes our organization work. From focusing on mental health and self-esteem to helping someone land their dream job, The Happy Confident Future Foundation is here to give the boost that's needed to push toward success.
